Welcome
I am working on my first book, and although it has been hard to find the time, I am slowly making time in the early hours of the morning. God has been good to me, with the inspirational downloads that He is releasing every day. This is a book for leaders and those that work and serve them. Leaders are visionaries that are constantly changing their directions in mid stream. The status quo say that you never change direction in the middle of a stream, just go with the flow. But many leaders think outside the box, outside the realm of reasoning. The really scary ones hear God and use an invisible force field called Faith that defies the gravity and time for natural occurrences. It usually confuses those that are close to them, and those that have to anticipate their next move. I am quite aware of this frustration and exhilaration all at the same time because of the man of God I live with. However, the lessons that I have learned from life on the edge, I will share with you in the book what God has dropped in my spirit to fulfill. Keep me in prayer; it is going to be a blessing.

I am beginning to understand when artist accomplish a big achievement they highlight something from their past that they have been battling with. This journey of accomplishing one of my dreams was a soul searcher, as I came closer to the big day. The warfare was getting a breakthrough from myself. A breakthrough from small mindedness, and limitations. I had to change my perception of myself. What did that look like? I rehearsed every voice I heard that told me I couldn't sing, I can't carry a tune, I sang off key, even the fact that I had no stage presence. Yeah! I can prove my critics wrong. As I battled and found the confidence to press in, the dreams at night changed, I rehearsed success, I sang every song with a new vigour and gusto. My friend you have the same fortitude of mind to do the same. Your breakthrough will come when you begin to get a breakthrough from yourself and find your voice.

Hello friends, it has been a long time since I shared my thoughts. I have been consumed with my worship project. The major warfare is breaking out of my comfort zone. The major component to winning this battle of the mind, was laying down at night and dreaming of performing each song. One of the focal points in finding your voice is owning your uniqueness.

Finding Your Voice
Singing has been a pass time, therapy, worship, amusement, creativity, joy, passion and a creative way to annoy my children!
With all these expression of my voice I discovered that I have an unusual voice print that took me years to own as my gift from God. Every time I sang, somebody was always trying to compare me to another individual of fit me in a particular genre of music.
It took years to grow in confidence to realize that the voice print, depth and resonance in my voice came from the trials, victories, disappointment and pain that I have had to overcome.
In discovering who I am, I discovered I like the pitch, range and depth that my voice carried.
I would write parodies to the songs that were on the radio, be it Christian, Jazz, Broadway or Country. It didn't matter; I would put my own spin on things. This began to spill over when I did worship, or sang hymns in Church. I would sing out of my spirit, and the words would come. People were uplifted, few tried to correct me and let me know in a serious and sometimes harsh tone “That is not the words to that song." My response grew to be “This is my story; this is my song." to some of you that are new to the faith, this is just words, but that is the title to an old school song. My dad use to sing this song almost every day as he was working, or just humming a little tune.
You can discover the power of your voice by, singing, late into the night, driving in your car, walking around the mall or grocery store. 'How?' you ask! By releasing the sound that is trapped within, no one hears the uniqueness of you. The Father, of all living things gave you the voice print that you have, that no one can duplicate it. Only your voice carries the pain, heartache and disappointment that gives depth to the harmony and melody that is in your heart.
Make a joyful noise sometime today and find you voice!
I wait to hear the testimony of the breakthrough that you have discovered and Now I have Found My Voice!

The Influence of Songs
For the past few weeks, I have got back into the unconscious habit of waking up singing an old song. I never remember all the words, but it immediately brought me back to the place and time frame in my memory. For instance, I can remember the time, the place and I have a mental image of how I was when I sang that song. Sometimes I can remember what church event it was. Let me take you there. When little things happen that encourage me that I am special, I sing the chorus 'Yes Jesus Loves Me.'
I remember that was the first song my sister and I sang publicly together. We even held up the Bible in our hands to emphasize the point. I sang that chorus in Chicago before I ministered in a way and depth that I have never sang it before and it brought such a healing to the men and women that were there.
The Redemption Hymnal, and Sacred Songs Hymn book were what I sang out of my childhood years to High School. As the times and seasons changed in church, we mixed it with the popular songs of my day which were Edwin Hawkins, Andre Crouch, Tramaine Hawkins, The Winans, and many more.
The Hymns gave you the word, and you sang Theology with meaning. The Chorus or popular songs, gave the sound for your generation that encouraged your creativity. Hymns spoke to your depth and became foundation to your Christian walk. Choruses were a mixture of Christian Walk mixed with the sound that spoke to the generation it was trying to reach. In other words each generation had their sound and testimony of the Father.

Old School
For the past few weeks I have been waking up thinking about my early life as a young christian. The songs I use to sing, hymns, prayer meetings and because it is summer, Church Convocations! It brings a smile to my face just saying the word in my head.
Although life was simple, it was foundational. I was a young girl bright eyes and bushy tail as the saying goes. However, principles and traditions were formed.
I knew what was expected of me, when I gave my heart to the Lord. I knew the places I couldn't go, and when invited I knew to say no. I knew the requirements of living a Holy life.
No movies, no parties, no sleepovers, no friends get together on a Saturday or Sunday night. No restaurants, no jewelery, no pants no ear piercing. Wow the list goes on. You get the picture.
I didn't rebel, I conformed until.......
I had an encounter with God. I got filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of the Lord began to teach me outside of the box of church doctrine. I learned in secret.
I truly believe that today in this twenty first century, the Holy Spirit is teaching, instructing , correcting and restoring knowledge of the depths of God that we cannot fathom with our natural thinking and reasoning. Our intellect gets in the way. But Glory be to God, there is a comforter that is unveiling truth to the inward parts of our beings. Continue to Walk with Me!.

Inception
I went to see Inception last night and it was brilliant. It is going on my list as one of my favorites.
One again Hollywood has got a hold of Renny and I messages about our imagination being the creative element that knows no boundaries of time and matter. It can defy the laws of gravity everytime. It's the realm or dream state where the supernatural is natural!
How can you crush a persons spirit, you kill their dream! But a revelation will awaken the imagination with knowledge and understanding.
Go see it and revelate!

Sunday
While sitting in church today listening to Pastor Don speak on the subject for this month "HOSTAGE," I heard the Lord speak to me and say start a blog that will be the same name as your future television program.
So here I am beginning the journey.
Walk with Me. Is a journey that begins as a christian the walk and experience that we live and face. The fears, hopes, dreams, failures, heart break, joys, victories and songs that we sing a long the way. There are people that we will encourage even when we are in our dark place.
Walk with Me, will be a journey that we will walk encourage and pray for each other.
